"I know that you can keep going, long after you can't" |
The JourneyThe truth of it all is that each journey is UNIQUE, at first it may send you into shock, it breaks your heart, then it wears down your body, it may crush our spirits at times, it takes all your strength away, sometimes it even takes your identity away.
We all have our own story, our own perspective, all based on our own personal experience and the environment that surrounds us, whether you are a caregiver, a family member, a friend or a fellow survivor, the truth is . . . It doesn't matter how it knocks you down, what matter most is just how many times stronger you ARE standing up! |
Losing anyone is an indescribable and often overwhelming feeling of pain and loss. Though difficult for anyone who has been touched by this to endure, the personal experience of loss and grief is different for everyone left behind regardless of the circumstances. One thing is true; we are left with the honor of sharings wonderful moments of our life with our loved one, being so lucky to have crossed paths, sometimes it may seem unfair to have the feeling of that been taken away, perhaps a void or emptiness is left behind, and we can only cope one day at a time, while finding the strength needed day by day.

What it means to have cancer?
For some Cancer is a fight with a win or lose scenario... For some it is just life with the added hardship of enduring a very ugly illness... For some it may prevent them from doing certain activities for sometime, while their cells, energy and body fight the illness... For some it open their eyes to life and what it is that is really important and find more time to enjoy life and the little things that matter.. For some it is the unknown, living day by day not knowing what tomorrow holds, if life will continue or if today is your last day... For some it is just a combination of them all, depending on the day or stage of treatment.. For some it is the outcome of unprocessed emotional pain, unpleasant feelings that the body tends to manifest as a cancer once it exhausted its natural healing options with involuntary self assigned restrictions. . . For some it ends as a gift, a bad memory, or an experience... For others their soul unleashes, ending the human experience before the body is fully taken by it. Various studies have indicated a link between various psychological factors, sudden emotional stress, to an increased risk of developing cancer and the many benefits of practicing mindfulness, stress relief and empowerment can improve life conditions for cancer patients. What does it means for you? Drop me a line and let me know your thoughts, experience, and your story, I would really love to know. |
